Neurodiverse Voices Project

Collaborations

Neurodiverse Voices is a community-driven initiative founded by Andreia Costa, a passionate advocate for neurodiversity inspired by her lived experience as the mother of an autistic daughter. What began as a podcast in April 2024 has grown into a vibrant platform dedicated to amplifying lived experiences, sharing current research, and fostering inclusive conversations around neurodivergence.

Through projects like the NDV Podcast, NDV Coffee Mornings in collaboration with Autism Champions CIC, and Let’s Talk Neurodiversity, school sessions for primary school aged children, Neurodiverse Voices creates safe, supportive spaces for parents, carers, professionals, and neurodivergent individuals to connect, learn, and be heard.

Besides her lived experience, Andreia brings her professional expertise as Project Manager for Training and Career Development at the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre, based at the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry. She also chairs the Neurodiversity & Disability Working Group and leads the organisation of the first OH BRC Neurodiversity Conference in 2025.

Whether you’re here to listen, learn, or get involved, Neurodiverse Voices is more than a podcast — it’s a growing community committed to embracing difference and driving change.

“Every voice carries a story, and every story has the power to shift how we see the world. By sharing our lived experiences, we’re not asking to fit in — we’re showing the beauty of standing out.”
